October 1945. George returns home from service; not only battling with the emotional backlash of war, but he is also coming to terms with the impact that his injuries will have on his home life.

Anna has prepared for her husband's return, but doesn’t quite know what to expect; will he seem like a stranger? Will he even recognise her?

As the evening unfolds their relationship is tested to the limit as the pair rely on shared memories to try and return to some kind of normal. But what if memory isn’t the most reliable source?
