Fanfare Please.....

It seems that we have a lot to celebrate these days, so here is another exciting announcement from the Boaty!

This year we deliberated whether to do an outdoor Shakespeare this year with the demands of going to the Edinburgh Fringe.....But we are excited to announce that we will be doing 2 days of performances at the Royal Shakespeare Gardens in Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of the RSC Dell Festival.

We will be swashbuckling our way to Stratford on the 3rd and 4th July with our Pirate-y adaptation of Twelfth Night.

The festival is completely free and will feature live music from our Sunday Social Band!!

Congratulations are in order!!

Whilst we are on the subject of congratulations and celebrations. The Boaty cast, crew, volunteers and Trustees would like to extend our congratulations to our wonderful artistic director Laura on her new role!

Laura will be staying on with the Boaty, but will also be *insert drum roll here* Lead Associate Schools Developer for none other than the RSC! This is a dream role for laura and we wish her all the luck in the world in her new role! We think that this is not only a wonderful opportunity for laura personally, but also for our town and northern schools in general, we are really excited to see what the future holds!

As you know The Boaty is a registered charity and although we do host events that help us to raise vital funds.

We are currently raising money for our tour to Stratford and to Edinburgh. We are also looking to take our young theatre makers to see a show this Christmas at the lowry!

Any donations, big or small are all gratefully received! You can donate to our GoFundMe page or if you would like to we have a monthly donation scheme on our website!

New Signage!!

After 27 months ( it sounds more dramatic if you write it in months) in our new home, we have finally managed to get a new sign up!!

Made from wood from our old staging and solar-powered lights by our props maker T!

Thank you to Dave Harris for helping us to put it up!!

Don't Forget!

We have lots of events coming up including our first-ever Comedy Club night hosted by Jack Miller and featuring some very funny people and 4 plays in our first Boaty Fringe Festival 'Her Fest'

Thank you as always for your continued support!
